Patient: Mr P, 50.
Presented with back pain. X ray showed a calcified spherical object in the left abdomen.
Chiropractic Management: Referred to blood vessel specialist who confirmed that it was a ballooning of the blood vessel to the spleen. These have been known to burst spontaneously and cause severe harm or death.
In this case, No immediate danger as it was well calcified. Mr P Continued chiropractic program of care and responded well. Whew!
