Arthritis?
A CASE IN POINT:

chiropractic geriatric
This condition is so misunderstood it causes much human worry.
People think they might end up in a wheelchair. Sometimes frightened by insensitive professionals. I ask: "how many people do you know
Use of the word 'scoliosis' when there's barely any there.

Pat's arthritis was misdiagnosed. There is
none, as the x ray showed.
Millions are spent on drugs to help arthritis. That's fine - when it's there...

She had osteoporosis, then
Fosamax® made her feel like she was "dying".

Pat was sceptical when she came in for the first time. A friend "convinced" her to at least try chiropractic. How could chiropractic help a normal, age-related complaint like arthritis? Neck pain and spinal discomfort were, for her, normal debilitating daily complaints.
When observing an x ray (below) of her neck I explained that there was no "arthritis", that it was not normal, and excruciating pain is not synonymous with older age.
Observe the marvellous state of Pat's neck at age 65, no degeneration at all and a beautiful curve (lordosis). Chiropractic provided her with a shock in the form of releif from pain without drugs. No bone crunching, massage or exercises (not that these are unimportant), just specific correction of spinal subluxation.
Pat still has trouble finding a medical doctor who will approve her visits to me because they fear that chiropractic will fracture her arthritic neck. What arthritis?
