Congenital Hip Dysplasia

chiropractic

Tiffany was brought in at age 18 months by her mother, who was worried about the way she was walking. At birth, it was found that she had a dislocated hip (congenital hip dysplasia). This was treated successfully by medical specialists.

Unfortunately, they said she would have to live with any after effects of this. Her left leg was noticeably shorter, turned in, and she would trip often. In her mother's opinion, she was not "growing out of it". She would also scream and cry at nappy change when her legs and spine were moved.
After only a short time, and a program of chiropractic care, she is more even on her feet and falling less. Her leg length is equal. At a one year check up appointment her specialist wrote to me expressing that Tiffany had no abnormality and needed not further follow-up appointment to see him.
Her mother was annoyed that she was never offered this option of chiropractic correction. We were happy to help!
